Tim has been in advertising since 1986. Over the years he has worked for newspapers, publishing houses, and nonprofits. Tim came to Brooke Communications in March of 2012. Over the years, Tim has come to believe the keys to a great advertising sales department are customer service, team work, follow-through, and FUN!

 Rachelle Carter
Rachelle Carter has been with Brooke Communications for a total of 18 years. She has done just about every job that has to do with radio. She started out spinning records overnight, doing board-op duties, and assisting the traffic director. She later became the traffic director, had a midday on-air radio shift, and assisted the National Sales Director. Today, she is the Vice President and National Sales Director (though she hates titles). "I see a job that needs to be done and I do it. We do at BCI. No job is too small, or too big, for that matter."

Kelly Formatin
Kelly Formatin is a radio veteran with over 20 years experience in media marketing. Previously from Eugene, she has been with Brooke Communications for over seven years. A University of Oregon graduate, she employs her skills in marketing, writing, and strategizing for her clients to get what they need from their radio advertising. Michael has been in customer service for over 18 years and truly enjoys helping people with their needs. As the newest addition to a great sales and promotion team, Michael brings his enthusiastic attitude with him.  Brian Prawitz
Brian Prawitz has been Operations Manager at Brooke Communications since March of 2010. Prior to that, he served as News and Sports Director for News Radio 1240 KQEN. Brian was hired by the Oregon Sports Network to broadcast Oregon baseball when the program was reinstated in 2009. Brian has been named the Oregon Association of Broadcasters Sports Announcer of the Year four times, including three of the last four years. You can hear Brian call Roseburg football and basketball on Fox Sports Radio 1490 The Score.

Kyle is the Program Director for News Radio 1240 KQEN and the News Director for all our BCI stations. Born in Roseburg, Kyle returned to the Umpqua Valley over 20 years ago, after several years of work in Portland radio. Whether anchoring the news or out interviewing the news makers, Kyle works to make sure that we give you the best local news coverage. Kyle is on the board for Riverbend Live and Greater Douglas United Way, along with serving on other committees. He is frequently seen emceeing charity events or activities involving the local wine industry.

Randy is somewhere between a hoot and a half rack and a paradigm. The word on the streets is he was raised by an angry pack of wolverines. Randy’s academic career includes seven years of clown college and a degree from Funk and Wagnalls.

 Ashley Smith
Ashley Smith has been in radio since 2001, and has enjoyed the fun and challenges of Brooke Communications, Inc. since 2003. The good looking and slightly smarter half of the Smith & Wesson Morning show, it is her goal to put smiles on the faces of Douglas County every morning. As of December 2012, Ashley has taken on the position of Director of Special Events and Promotions. Jess Just graduated from Pacific University in 2012 with a Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Media. She began working at Brooke Communications as the Digital Services Director in August. Jess is in charge of the website, photography, and technical maintenance around the station. You might see her driving around town trying to get photos of anything exciting enough to get on 541radio.com.
