TOBY'S BASS PLAYER DIES IN CAR ACCIDENT
Bass guitarist for Toby Keith's band, Carl "Chuck" Goff, Jr., died in a car accident on Wednesday night at the age of 54. KOCO-TV reports that the accident involved two vehicles and occurred near Slaughterville, Oklahoma, at about 7:45PM local time. Authorities said that one vehicle was found on top of the other and the other driver was not seriously injured. The accident still remains under investigation. Goff was a longtime band leader and friend to Toby and he is credited with writing two of his hit songs, "You Ain't Much Fun" and "Upstairs Downtown." In a statement posted on his website, Keith says, "We are deeply saddened by the sudden death of our band member, Chuck Goff. He was a close friend for over 25 years, the band leader and bass player. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family."

LINEUP FOR TIM'S ACM SPECIAL GROWS
The Academy of Country Music has announced that Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, and R&B artist, Ne-Yo are the first to be added to the all-star lineup performing at the ACM Presents: Tim McGraw’s Superstar Summer Night. The taping for the special will take place on April 8 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be broadcast at a later date on CBS. The two hour star-studded concert event will benefit ACM Lifting Lives and will feature dynamic musical collaborations. Tim says, "There's no better time for live music than in the heat of the summer. Country music is hotter than it has ever been, and with some help from a few friends in other genres too, we're going to get summer started off right.   I've been lucky enough to have all these artists join me on tour, and it'll be fun to get everyone back together to help raise money and bring some attention to Lifting Lives. Not enough people know what good work the organization does, and when I was asked to help put this show together, it was a no-brainer."
