BAM! Blogging with Pam

Pam's my name...married with children and my family is the most important thing to me...I love marketing, challenges and making fun of life...I enjoy learning and trying to make a difference in my community...I am looking forward to this new adventure called blogging...

BOOM!

Boom…Boom…Bam!

This is why I love football…call me sick; I will live with that…

Second quarter…came the boom, boom, BAM! I could watch that video over and over…poor Manning…his mishap got my football fever going…contact sports…I am looking forward to a great football season…may dabble in a little fantasy football…I’m a virgin, so this is a big step…

I don’t know if it is because I grew up with three brothers, or that our family was large…in number not stature...that I became so competitive. If I am not participating, I am watching or listening…and it was a tough choice last night…listen to the Doc’s game, or watch Monday night football…February was so long ago…Football won out…Don’t really care about either team, but Monday night in a brand new stadium and to see Joe Namath during halftime was worth the sit on the couch…Joe where is your fur coat!

Just a quick note to our boys of summer…Roseburg Doc Stewarts baseball team… you may have left as boys, but are returning as young men, walking a little taller…your home town is proud!

I do enjoy sports...
I do enjoy sports…but I am not main lined in like my husband…who can’t walk out the door in the morning until he has read every blog that talks about his beloved New Orleans Saints…or watch ESPN while tying his shoes for fifteen minutes…and that’s okay, I get it… what would men have to talk about, if they weren’t up to date on the draft pick, or free agents, or who is trading who…

Will has his teams, and I have my purses and shoes…

But I also have home town pride and a little-bitty passion for local sports…and yesterday that little-bitty exploded into goose bumps, rush of enthusiasm, and a little tear, as I listened to Brian make that last call in the top of the 9th inning…
Roseburg Doc Stewarts American Legion Baseball is in the final four…

Listen for yourself…for some reason it makes me feel like eating a hotdog and having a cold Pepsi…and I don’t even drink.

Keep and eye on your children...

Fair time is fun time… for all walks of life…

Are you ever right in the middle of something and you get the feeling to look up in a different direction, unrelated to anything you are doing? It happened to me.

I was doing my thing at the fair… enjoying the multiple conversations in the Brooke Communications booth…helping kids play the high flying fun game… enjoying the fair in its glory and I got this weird sensation that somebody was looking at me… so I look up… and this is what I saw, walking past our booth… our eyes looked right at each other in one of those locked stares… I got goose bumps, not in a good way…he turned away and kept walking… I could not take my eyes off him…so I did the smart thing… I followed him.  My first thought was I hope somebody checked his bag for a butcher knife… my second was… what’s wrong with me… I just abandoned my post to follow some creepy guy and the only thing I have to protect myself is my num chuck skills, with out the num chucks…and it was daylight… no batman signal could be seen.

He stopped in front of the sheep barn to have a smoke… I watched… waiting for the right moment… he turned around and looked straight at me and I snapped the photo… then ran away like a scared school girl…

I have seen some crazy things at the Douglas County Fair… this is one for the record book…
