Dear Grumpy,
Thank you for the opportunity to correct you... You actually brought up a relatively good point that i would not have thought about and I certainly do not wish any other readers to think the same as you.

In my recent post about the great time i had seeing the Boyz II Men concert you wrote:
"Wish the station gave out hookups like this to their listeners and not just to their staff."

First of all I have the pleasure of making relationships with concert venues where we run advertisements on air letting our listeners know what cool concerts are coming. We do get tickets from those concert venues to award our listeners. I think that it is wonderful because we give our listeners tickets to some of the coolest concerts and we help promote great concert venues.

As for clarification of your comment Chinook Winds Casino and I came up with a wonderful promotion on the 104.5 SAM FM will call window and actually gave two different listeners a pair of front row seats to the show along with the over night stay in the ocean front hotel suite and a complimentary meal. Both of the listeners were absolutley excited! The first was used for a birthday weekend for him and his wife and the other missed out on the opportunity years ago to take his girl at the time on a date to a Boyz II Men concert who happens now to be his wife.

Here is where i am thankful for your comment i started thinking about how other people who read my blogs might look at the other concerts i have been to and automatically assume that the station provided them. I am actually proud to say that i have spent my own hard earned money purchasing those concerts tickets myself.

For example I bought a great set of tickets to the Tobey Keith, Trace Adkins concert for my husband's birthday. We actually did a promotion on air that gave eight different winners tickets to that show... And just to top it off i can inform you and anyone else reading that this summer we had the pleasure of giving away over a hundred pair of concert tickets away to our listeners.

My suggestion to you would be listen to the radio more often and please feel free to sign up for any one of our promotions. No matter which station you like to listen to we are constantly giving something away! I hope you get lucky grumpy!!!
