7/28 2:15 p.m. What a weekend it was for the Doc Stewarts in the Zone 4 Super Regional at Legion Field. After losing on the first day of the four team, double-elimination tournament, the Doc’s turned things around and won four straight games to earn a berth in the state tournament later this week.
7/28 1:15 p.m. Injuries are just part of the game in the NFL and when one player goes down, it typically means a lesser known player gets a chance to make his mark on the game. That seemed to be the case for former Oregon Duck and current San Francisco 49er LaMichael James.
7/27 11:00 p.m. It was another day of facing elimination for the Doc Stewarts on Sunday and once again they came through, winning two-straight games against the Canyon Crushers and clinching a berth in the state tournament.
7/26 11:45 p.m. The Doc Stewarts scored twice in the bottom of the eighth inning to take an 8-6 lead against Three Rivers and once again avoided elimination from post-season play in the Zone 4 Super Regional on Saturday.
7/26 3:30 p.m. It wasn’t pretty, but winning an elimination game doesn’t have to look good. The Doc’s committed seven errors against the Taylor-Putnam Kingsmen Saturday morning, but took advantage of their opponents miscues late in the game to win 6-5 in extra innings and keep their season alive.
