3/7 10:15 a.m. Thursday was a tough day for high school basketball teams from around Douglas County. Five local teams were in action and nearly all suffered losses.
3/6 1:30 p.m. The North Douglas girls once again fell behind by double digits early in a playoff game only to rally back late in the contest. Yet, much like their quarterfinal loss to Santiam, the Lady Warriors weren’t able to finish with a win, as they lost 54-50 to Union in an elimination game Thursday afternoon.
3/6 7:30 a.m. The North Douglas girls managed to cut a 13-point Santiam lead to just two points with 25 seconds remaining, but the Lady Warriors fell short of their comeback attempt in a 41-37 loss to the Wolverines Wednesday night.
3/5 11:15 a.m. The North Douglas girls face Santiam in the quarterfinals of the 2A state playoffs Wednesday night.
3/4 9:15 p.m. It didn’t take long for the Roseburg girls to take control of their first round game against Glencoe Tuesday night. The Indians took a 2-0 lead and never looked back on their way to a 47-27 win and a berth in the second round on Friday night.
